A delicious timeless moment, to savor in an intimist universe. To relax and taste one of the specialities of the house accompanied with one of the 40 sorts of tea à la carte, in a refined setting of Directoire style.
This house of Lille based in the XVIIth century was at first an apothecary-grocer, who had received from the magistrates in 1677 the authorization to spread its activities to the pastry-bakery. It is a certain Mr Meert from Aalst who purchased the home in 1849, to give it its final name. He created the famous waffle filled with the vanilla of Madagascar and the other sweetnesses: the Flora, the Imperial or the Spring among others.
By savoring all these sweetnesses on the spot, famous ancient customers will observe you. Pierre Le Tan sketched in pencil 14 of them, including Leopold 1st, Napoleon, Mozart or Amelie Nothomb… You are cordially expected there by Sebastien Pottier and all his team for an intimate, delicious and warm moment…
