32 Belgian restaurants will celebrate on next March 21st and 22nd the French gastronomy, including 6 in Brussels.

 

The best element of life to gather people around the whole world is ultimately the meal. And this evening of March 21st will be one of a kind and will address to approximately 100000 dinner guests, in about 1500 restaurants and 150 embassies of France distributed on the five continents. A gourmet meal that will focus on the pleasure of taste and will tighten the circle of friends to strengthen social ties. An evening “à la française” for a curious audience who wants to celebrate the excellence of the French cuisine.  This gastronomy festival which marks the return of the spring, will be a gustative opportunity to rediscover France and its know-how. And then to celebrate brilliantly the values of excellence, conviviality, innovation and diversity that represents it. A gastronomy which is a part of the identity and the lifestyle of France. And besides it in 2010, Unesco registered the French meal on the immaterial cultural heritage of the Humanity.

A concept established by Auguste Escoffier in 1912 with “the Dinners of Epicurus”. Then the same menu, the same day, in several cities of the world and to the great number of participants. This initiative is part of the spirit of this great idea with the desire to involve all restaurant categories around the world. A “win-win” operation, for the biggest enjoyment of all which will also ensure of the brilliance of France worldwide.

The menu will be adapted to the traditions and the culinary cultures of each country. For an accessible cuisine to all, from the bistro to the tables of exception, realized from fresh seasonal produce and stemming from the local terroir. An international committee of about fifteen emblematic and French chefs, chaired by Alain Ducasse, will have validated the meals proposed  by the famous “Chefs” from the five continents. The festival is finally a French cultural contribution which impregnate itself of local traditions. A little piece of France disseminated around the world.

Feel free to participate in this evening, indeed five percent of the sales will be put back to local works in favour of health and environment. An invitation to journey, so let’s have fun, share, enjoy, discover…
